Trish is headstrong and stubborn. She is determined to make something of herself. She's very relatable. Dalton is absolutely swoon-worthy book boyfriend material. Tall, dark, and handsome just how I like my book boyfriends. Their first real kiss sent shivers down my back. The tension between Trish and Dalton is so thick, I'm amazed it took as long as it did for them to realize it. But that's a good thing. This story is believable. It's real. When I got to the last few chapters, I was waiting for my HEA, but it wasn't quite that simple. Although i did get one in the end. I love the little twists and turns throughout the story. I even cursed at one point shortly after having a giggly fit. I love how this series is focused on one town and that characters from the other books make appearances, but you don't have to read them in order to understand what's going on. It's refreshing to see an author make a series of standalones. You're not left with a huge cliffhanger at the end of each of the books. This is my second read from Corrissa and I love some these characters so much that I will definitely continue reading this series.Product details

I enjoyed reading A Heart So Sweet and Vibrant Heart a few months ago, so I was excited to get my hands on A Heart's Promise. I was especially pleased to see beleaguered waitress Tricia again, and to see her getting a chance at happiness and professional fulfillment. And Dalton James certainly seems like a much more worthy partner than her last guy. There seems to be a recurring theme in the author’s books of power and strength being harnessed and kept under control, which goes well with the horse ranch setting. And as a city girl who likes air conditioning, I get a kick out of the chance to vicariously explore the great outdoors without having to get sweaty. The Great Plains Romance series continues to entertain, and I'm loving seeing how the different ranch families interact and fit together.
A Heart's Promise is a lovely romance that takes you to the wide open plains of the USA 's horse and cattle ranches. The two main characters, Trish and Dalton are instantly drawn to each other, the chemistry is undeniable. Both of them have baggage from their past and both of them are possessing of fiery tempers. Throw in a "bad boy" from Trish's past and you have all the classic ingredients.
This is a simple, straightforward tale, well told that you can read in an afternoon. Within its genre A Heart's Promise is a great, little read and if you like your romances with a bit of conflict and you love a happy ending, then you'll love A Heart's Promise, I'm sure.
A book that you can enjoy with a smile on your face. Good story and CHARACTERS. Looking forward to more from this author
This was a very good book. It was romantic and interesting all the way thru. It had a happy ending I would recommend this book to family and friends.
This is the kind of romance that just makes you happy. Love it. You know you are in for a happy ending. This book made me smile, it was like a spoonful of sugar. Every once in while a girl needs a book like this. Thank you.
This is one of those delicious books you just love to read over and over again. You know Trish can do better than her old boyfriend, and when Dalton enters the picture, you know just the guy for the job. Author Corrissa James creates terrific sexual tension and in the end, the payoff is worth the wait. This is a quick, romantic, and sexy read and the setting is a huge bonus. 5 STARS!
I love-love the tension that Corrissa James is able to create between Dalton and Trish. Sometimes it takes your breath away with the anticipation and then sometimes you just want them to get together so badly that it's torture...in a really good way. There is humor, despair, and happiness all built into this novella and the ending made me both laugh and cry. So good to experience the spectrum of emotions. I highly suggest this for a great afternoon read with a cup of tea and a biscuit...a fresh biscuit. Love to Corrissa for another great read!
